Supply Planning
Plan samples, first orders, and repeat supply as separate decisions. Compare friction performance using the supplier’s material description, not a verbal grade.

Confirm quantity in sets, packing unit, included hardware, and the accepted specification revision. Ask how batch traceability will appear on cartons and whether mixed material lots are excluded.
Keep the same references, agreed substitutions, and reorder requirements visible. If a later quote changes brake pad material family, treat it as a new comparison rather than a silent continuation.
Ask for disclosure when materials, backing-plate coating, sensor interface, or production source change. Without that disclosure, replenishment quotes are not comparable to the sample file.
