Application-led procurement

Truck brake pad grades for documented duty cycles

Each scenario starts with a stated vehicle application and friction-material evidence request, not an assumed universal truck pad. Padgrove Sourcing coordinates inquiries; suppliers confirm suitability.

Requirements by buying scenario

Parts wholesale
Clarify catalog references, packing units, assortment mix across axle positions, and reorder identifiers. A truck brake pad family name does not replace axle-specific geometry or sensor interface confirmation.
Workshop distribution
Clarify installed position, included hardware, shim stack, wear-sensor type, and the vehicle year/make/model range the supplier will document. Appearance or connector shape is not interchange.
Fleet purchasing
Separate configurations by GVWR band, axle code, and planned quantities. Request duty-cycle descriptions and material reports instead of verbal “severe duty” labels. Stopping-distance claims are out of scope unless a supplier attaches a named test for that pad.
Special project inquiry
Document altered calipers, aftermarket brackets, or missing sensors before accepting alternatives. Ask the supplier to identify every deviation from the buyer’s reference drawing.

Use the brake pad material planning page when sample lots and replenishment must stay separate, then open an inquiry.
